Riding the Creativity Wave….

Creativity is a powerful drug!

So my time in the studio has been very productive lately.  I have been working with some deadlines, and creating some for myself.  There is a fine line between what I’m writing for Film/TV, and what I’m writing for my new CD, and other projects.  I’m not sure if that’s a good thing, only because it’s hard to place things in each category, not really knowing where each would benefit best.

It’s a double-edged sword, a catch 22…The more I write, improving on my skills and learning new software and techniques, the better I get.  The better I get, I write more and am able to experiment with new things because I get comfortable in my element and start listening for things that make my songs stand out from everything else.  The more I experiment and add things to my songs to make them stand out, the more interesting I think they sound, and it allows me to take it to that next level.  The further I push it, the better the sound…The better the sound, the more I want to save it away in my secret vault, thinking that it’s so precious that it needs to be locked away and not shared.

See how my creative mind works?  LOL

Bottom line is I’m writing on the regular again, which is good on all angles.  I plan on….PLAN ON keeping the momentum going.  Truth be told this is the best drug in the world.  Creativity.

Now, I know a few of you out there have hopes of me getting to the videography part of my creativity.  Don’t worry, that’s coming.  I do apologize for the folks I’ve interviewed and have yet to release. And same to those who have come to enjoy DLFTv and haven’t seen anything new in a while.  Thanks for sticking with me though!  I won’t disappoint!

The weekend’s here folks.  Do something fun and creative this weekend.  You’ll see what I’m talking about when you get that skip in your step!

Enjoy!  ~D
